Lead Engineer – Services Engineering (SP&S) We devise smarter systems to control and monitor oil and gas extraction. The Services Team specialises in aftermarket modifications & refurbishment of Customer owned and Rental Equipment. Responsibilities Interpret customer technical specifications, organise and lead design reviews ensuring all customer requirements, technical risks and past lessons learned are captured. Develop conceptual design requirements and layouts for review following company design process management (DPM) protocols. Create work packs for delegation, review detail drawings, create test procedures and lead small teams. Design layouts, specify functional components, evaluate stackups, create assembly procedures, support manufacturing & workshop, and undertake calculations. Collaborate with engineering or cross‑functional initiatives on company priorities such as quality, cost control, and design standard updates to improve product competitiveness. Create detailed designs for manufacture, participate in design reviews, and prepare materials for design reviews including materials and environmental reviews. Undertake design verification, including tolerance studies, design reliability, design for manufacture, simple failure analysis, and design reviews. Apply design for manufacture principles for turning, machining, drilling, milling, and welding processes to ensure designs are suitable for efficient manufacture and assembly. Support client operations, shop operations and our 24/7 on‑call engineering service. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical/Production/Manufacturing). Project Engineer with strong experience leading projects in the Oil and Gas industry. Familiarity with industry standards such as API 6A, 17D, 17G. Proven experience in an engineering role. Strong oral and written communication skills. Good interpersonal and leadership skills. Ability to influence others and lead small teams.
