Overview CJS is a well-established architectural studio specialising in residential projects across London, with over 16 years of experience. The studio offers a full turn-key service for projects of all sizes. We are looking for a well-organised, enthusiastic Architectural Designer to join the Planning team. Candidates with a planning consultant background are also welcome. Key Responsibilities Prepare Revit and AutoCAD drawings for planning applications. Manage and assist with planning applications from initial brief through to submission. Conduct planning research and apply relevant policies to your designs. Collaborate with the wider team on concept development and project delivery. Communicate clearly with clients and stakeholders, using strong presentation and people skills. Take ownership of your own projects, showing a strong sense of responsibility and initiative. Ensure deadlines are met and provide regular progress updates. What we're looking for Strong working knowledge of Revit (essential) Experience with SketchUp and/or Enscape (desirable) Right to work in the UK (essential) Technical stage 4 - recommended (training will be offered otherwise) Degree in Architecture or a related field (RIBA / CIAT accredited preferred) Proven experience in submitting at least 50 planning applications in the UK (essential) Minimum 3-6 years' experience in architectural roles, ideally focused on RIBA Stages 0-3 Strong interpersonal and communication skills Excellent written and spoken English Well-organised, with the ability to manage multiple projects at the same time High attention to detail and a proactive approach Able to work independently as well as within a team If this role seems like a good fit, send across your CV and we will be in touch.
