Flexible working patterns, including job share, are available for all vacancies. Join our Monitoring Data & Systems Team (MDS) where we manage key environmental monitoring systems and datasets. You will support Water Quality systems but may also be asked to aid other systems as needed. Your key responsibilities will include Set up and manage user accounts Support users and resolve issues, especially during the transition to the new My Environment application Update, improve and maintain datasets Respond to internal and external data requests Assist with system improvement and upgrade projects Everyone who joins is required to undertake training and participate in incident response duties when needed. Help protect communities and the environment. Participation in incident response is an essential part of working for the Environment Agency. Experience & Skills Required Experience working with large, complex datasets Willingness to develop and apply new technical skills across monitoring data and systems Motivated, organised, friendly, with an eye for detail, comfortable working in a dispersed team environment Proactive, enjoys solving problems Excellent written and verbal communication skills to convey complex technical information to technical and non‑technical audiences Ability to build and maintain strong relationships and deliver excellent customer service Desirable Experience & Skills Experience using and managing environmental monitoring data systems Experience with PowerBI, Access, Excel, Python, SharePoint Online and R Working knowledge of water quality monitoring Location & Working Arrangements Work location is flexible but a base must be established at one of our offices across England.
