About the Role The Specialist Literacy Teaching Assistant will support students who have struggled to develop reading skills. The main responsibility is to implement the Ruth Miskin Fresh Start programme to develop phonics. Training on phonics will be provided. Responsibilities also include delivering reading development activities, supporting students with reading schemes, and working with the senior leadership team and the reading improvement team. Qualifications and Skills Good general level of education and ability to work productively with young people. Strong initiative, organisational skills and commitment to professional development. Excellent communication and teamwork with staff. Enthusiastic, dynamic, and able to motivate students. Position Details Seniority level: Entry level. Employment type: Part‑time.
