Maintain professional registration and complete mandatory training. Participate in supervision, reviews, and competency assessments. Engage in audits, research, and teaching activities. ANP‑Specific Requirements Perform holistic assessments in routine and urgent care settings. Hold and maintain an Independent Prescribing qualification. Demonstrate confidence in autonomous clinical decision‑making. Additional Duties Ensure safety of patients, staff, and visitors, report incidents and risks. Identify and support patients at risk of abuse; follow safeguarding protocols. Comply with practice policies including confidentiality, infection control, and equality. Support business continuity and disaster recovery planning. Person Specification – Essential Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC). Masters degree (mandatory for ACP qualification post‑December 2020, aligned with RCN Credentialing for Advanced Level Nursing Practice). Postgraduate diploma or degree (accepted for ACP qualification up to December 2020). Qualified Independent Nurse Prescriber, registered with the NMC. Full compliance with NMC revalidation requirements as outlined in the NMC Revalidation framework. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications. Familiarity with GP practice systems and prescribing data monitoring platforms. Skilled in producing clear, accurate, and comprehensive clinical documentation. Competence in developing, implementing, and reviewing patient care plans. Strong understanding of data protection regulations (GDPR). Commitment to maintaining confidentiality within a GP practice environment. Clear understanding of NHS principles, values, and frameworks. Ability to analyse and interpret complex or incomplete information, anticipate issues, and recommend appropriate solutions. Strong interpersonal and organisational skills. Excellent communication abilities, including influencing, persuading, and constructively challenging information. Effective negotiation skills. Proven ability to build and sustain professional relationships based on openness, trust, and confidence. Inspirational leadership qualities.
