If you are caring, compassionate, hardworking and thrive of a faced paced acute environment then this is the role for you. Staff will be supported by an experienced team and also encouraged to develop in their role. Main duties of the job The Care Support Worker will work together with members of the Nursing team and contribute to the implementation of a high standard and individualised patient care under the direction of a registered nurse. The post holder will be required to communicate effectively with other members of the health care team, patients and relatives and must be able to recognise and report to the appropriate person any changes in the patient’s condition which may require the intervention of others. Person specification Qualifications English and Maths Qualifications at one of the following academic levels/grades: O Level – Grade A to C/CSE Grade 1 only, GCSE – Grade A to C/Grade 9 to 4 or Functional Skills Level 1 Hospital Experience as Care Support Worker NVQ Level 2 in Health Care Care Certificate Knowledge & Experience Commitment to undertaking in-house training Previous care experience within a care setting Demonstrates interest in caring for patients in all clinical specialities Demonstrates knowledge of duties required of a Care Support Worker role Experience Good organisational skills Experience of customer care/dealing with the public Understanding of confidentiality Employer certification / accreditation badges This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (Amendment) (England and Wales) Order 2020 and it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service.
