This is a strategic and operational leadership role, delivering HSE improvements across a multi-site organisation within the manufacturing sector.Job titleGroup HSE ManagerThe OpportunityLeading the development and implementation of health, safety and environmental standards across all UK sitesDriving full compliance with HSE legislation, internal standards and Integrated Pollution Prevention and Control (IPPC) requirementsDeveloping and managing the HSE team, embedding a collaborative and proactive cultureConducting internal audits, overseeing risk assessments and implementing safe systems of work in coordination with operational teamsActing as the subject matter expert to senior leadership on HSE matters, identifying risks, reporting RIDDOR incidents and leading investigationsIdentifying and coordinating all necessary training and certification, supporting continuous learning and capability across teamsEnsuring new starters, contractors and site visitors are fully inducted and compliant, issuing permits to work and reviewing contractor documentationProviding hands-on support and coaching to operational teams to embed a proactive approach to health, safety and environmental managementMonitoring and maintaining environmental records, ensuring site compliance with permits and supporting sustainability initiativesYour work will directly contribute to building a safer, more sustainable working environment for every employee and contractor.About YouAt least 3 years' experience in an HSE Manager role, ideally across multi-site manufacturing environmentsProven experience leading a team and managing senior stakeholder relationshipsExcellent knowledge of UK HSE legislation, with practical application across operationsA NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent recognised qualification in occupational health and safetyA passion for training and a track record of coaching, training and mentoringStrong organisational, communication and influencing skillsDesirable: Train-the-Trainer qualification and/or Certificate in Environmental ManagementThe Impact You'll MakeThis is a real opportunity to influence lasting change.
