A chance to work within an acclaimed water hygiene company known for their expertise in all aspects of water treatment/hygiene and legionella services. Our client is currently recruiting an experienced, versatile, and dedicated Water Hygiene Engineer based in and around the Dartford area. The ideal candidate will be experienced in undertaking water hygiene duties such as routine temperature monitoring and disinfecting of mains water system tanks and flushing works. Consideration will be given to applications from London, Romford, Basildon, Bromley, and the surrounding areas. Experience & Qualifications Must come from a good educational, water hygiene/legionella background. Must be fully conversant with the ACOP L8 guidelines. Previous hands on experience delivering water hygiene duties to a varied site base. Previous experience undertaking remedial plumbing duties will be beneficial to this role. Must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Good IT skills, including competency in MS Office. Postholder responsibilities Carrying out disinfection of mains water systems, tank cleans and descales, replacing tanks, remedial work, flushing systems, water softeners, etc. Monitoring client’s air and water systems and ensuring compliance with current Health and Safety legislation. Carrying out cleaning and chlorination on both hot and cold-water systems and cooling towers. Carrying out temperature monitoring, conducting routine sampling water systems. Undertaking maintenance and installation of dosing systems. Submitting accurate paperwork including reports. Building and maintaining a good rapport with the clients. Carrying out remedial plumbing work as and when required. Overall the successful applicant will be hardworking with a good work ethic and an adaptable approach towards work. The ideal candidate will demonstrate the ability to work independently to agreed timescales and must be prepared to travel to designated sites as per client’s requirements.
