ADHD Nurse Prescriber & Assessor Hours: 37.5 hours per week (Full-time, part-time considered) About the Organisation A specialist neurodevelopmental service working in partnership with multiple NHS trusts to deliver high-quality autism and ADHD assessments. Although independently operated, they proudly support the NHS through innovative, evidence-based clinical services delivered to exceptional standards. Hybrid working model (3 days on-site, 2 days WFH) About the Role As an ADHD Nurse Prescriber, you will play a key role in assessing, diagnosing, and managing ADHD in children, young people, and adults. You will be responsible for safe and effective prescribing, overseeing medication pathways, and ensuring high-quality care in line with NICE guidelines and internal clinical protocols. Key Responsibilities Conduct thorough ADHD assessments, provide clear clinical rationales, and produce detailed diagnostic reports. Complete comprehensive reviews for clients with an existing ADHD diagnosis, incorporating both medication and non-pharmacological interventions. Initiate, titrate, and discontinue ADHD medications (stimulant and non-stimulant) as clinically appropriate. Manage a caseload throughout the medication pathway, ensuring timely reviews and continuity of care. Generate prescriptions in line with prescribing formularies, monitoring safety, effectiveness, and ongoing suitability. Maintain accurate, up-to-date clinical records and communicate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and external services. Engage in continuous professional development and remain informed of emerging ADHD research and best practices. About You NMC Registration as a Mental Health Nurse (RMN) with an independent prescribing qualification (V300). Experience in assessing and treating ADHD.
