Job overview Sherwood Forest Hospitals are seeking a highly motivated, training-focused Biomedical Scientist to join our team of around 170 staff, to work as the Pathology Training Coordinator across Sherwood Forest Hospitals. You will lead the delivery of a well-established training programme, with the freedom to modify it where change may be required, in an innovative and creative way. We are looking for a candidate with excellent organisational, interpersonal and communication skills, and experience in different delivery models of training. Pathology Services at Sherwood Forest Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is committed to provide the highest quality service possible. We provide an analytical, diagnostic, interpretative and consultative service to hospitals, clinics and GP practices for a population of approximately 420,000 in the north of Nottinghamshire. The laboratories are: Cellular Pathology, Clinical Chemistry and Immunology, Haematology and Blood Transfusion, Microbiology and Point-of-Care Testing. All of the laboratories are supported by Central Services (specimen reception).
