About The Role To support the operations of our Conwy branch, Selwood is looking for a Labourer/Yardsperson to join our friendly team. This role will provide vital support to the branch operations and will be yard-based assisting with various duties in conjunction with the loading and unloading of lorries to ensure timely delivery of our pumps and associated equipment. It will require some level of flexibility for deliveries in and out of the branch. Key Responsibilities Always keep the yard and workshops clean and tidy. Assist with loading and unloading of vehicles, checking against paperwork, missing items, damages and fuel charges when needed. Work with Workshop Fitters and Manager, collaborating and working unsupervised when required, with a positive attitude and integrity. Assist fitting staff with tasks as instructed, such as lifting, moving, in depot or on site. Clean hire equipment prior to entry to workshop, using pressure and steam‑cleaning equipment. Be polite and cooperative with staff and customers, and promote the company when on site. Communicate accurately to supervisor, colleagues and customers regarding job specifications such as ETA, missing or damaged items, obtaining signatures and names when delivering or collecting. Comply with all PPE requirements for Selwood or site regulations. Qualifications & Skills Driving licence desirable but not essential. Forklift counterbalance experience would be advantageous.
