Advanced Nurse / Paramedic Practitioner or * Development role * The closing date is 16 December 2025 We are currently looking to recruit an enthusiastic and motivated Advanced Nurse / Paramedic within our MIU's. We will also consider a development role for a band 6-7. The position will be based at Ely. 30 Hours per week. Shift times are 08:30-18:30 Monday - Friday and 08:45-17:15 Weekends/ BH. The units are open 7 days a week. Working in a busy and fast paced Minor Injuries Unit, the successful candidate will need to be enthusiastic, polite, and have an ability to work under pressure at times. The ideal candidate will have a strong team work ethic and the ability and willingness to travel and work in any of the three Minor Injuries Units. They will have access to structured supervision as well as the opportunity to undertake training to enhance their role within the team. Main duties of the job We are currently looking to recruit an enthusiastic and motivated Registered Nurse or Paramedic / ECP with significant post registration experience, Primary Care or ED experience and specialist knowledge in Minor Injury and illness to work flexibly across our Minor Injuries Service. We are looking for skilled individuals who are enthusiastic, self‑motivated and have well‑developed clinical skills. You will be adept at wound assessment and closure, the assessment and management of musculoskeletal injuries (including X‑ray requesting and interpretation) and minor illness and be able to develop your practice to reach the advanced level required to work in an entirely nurse/ Paramedic‑led environment. As a team member, provide support to the Lead Practitioner to enhance clinical practice and person/patient‑centred care. To provide evidence based self‑care advice and treatment to patients. Person Specification Education/Qualifications Registered Nurse Level 1 registered with NMC Degree level qualification or equivalent experience and knowledge in a health related subject Evidence of Continuous Professional Development Working towards autonomous practitioner qualification.
