Civil Engineer – Drainage/Highways - Leeds A leading multi-disciplinary engineering consultancy is looking for a Civil Engineer with a strong background in highways and drainage design to join their growing Leeds team. You’ll work on a wide portfolio of UK infrastructure projects, supporting local authorities, developers, and national frameworks. Location: Leeds Salary: £37,000 – £45,000 Experience: 3–7 years Responsibilities Delivering design work for S278, S38, S104 and wider infrastructure schemes Producing highways and drainage designs from feasibility through to detailed design Working with DMRB, local authority standards, and active travel guidance (LTN 1/20) Producing drawings, reports, and technical documentation Coordinating with internal teams across structures, transport planning, and environment Supporting senior engineers and mentoring juniors where appropriate Qualifications 3–7 years’ experience in civil, highways, or drainage engineering Strong knowledge of UK design standards (DMRB, SuDS, local authority guidance) Experience with Civil 3D or AutoCAD, and drainage software such as MicroDrainage / Causeway Flow Ability to deliver highway geometry, drainage layouts, and general civil engineering details Good communication skills and experience working with public-sector or consultancy clients Benefits £37,000 – £45,000 salary Hybrid/flexible working Modern Leeds office with a collaborative design team Exposure to major UK infrastructure schemes and progression towards Senior Engineer #J-18808-Ljbffr
