About the Role You will work as part of a team of Connexions Advisers providing information, advice and guidance to young people in school, sixth forms and for those who are NEET or at risk of becoming NEET aged 15‑24. The role will be school based providing independent and impartial careers guidance to pupils from Year 9 to Year 13 with a focus on those in transition at Year 11. You will support the school careers education programme and may attend parents evenings and careers events. You will be in regular contact with Education and Training Providers, Colleges and Employers to support application processes. For young people with additional support needs you will ensure they are able to access appropriate opportunities. About You You must have a minimum Level 6 or higher Careers Guidance qualification for this role. You will need recent relevant experience of delivering careers guidance in educational settings (within the last 4 years). You will have a thorough understanding of the education and training opportunities available to young people. Your excellent communication skills will be utilised with young people. You will have empathy and motivational skills to help the young people move forwards. You will have excellent organisational and IT skills in order to manage your workload and record all interventions. Your style and approach will reflect our EPIC values and behaviours.
