Role This role will be to manage the day to day operational activities of the Health Records supervisory team and staff across the range of Health Records sections, to ensure provision of a robust patient administration service to meet the needs of patients and healthcare professionals. To identify and implement changes for service improvement, and to persuade and communicate these changes with the appropriate stakeholders. What we’re looking for Educated to degree level or equivalent, such as diploma level plus relevant experience within a Health Records environment, including previous supervisory experience. Specialist knowledge of Health Records gained through relevant experience, or professional qualification IHRIM (Diploma in Health Records & Information Management). Knowledge of patient administration systems. Computer literate and keyboard skills. Knowledge of confidentiality and data protection. Multi skilled, and experience in multi-tasking. Effective communication, interpersonal and teambuilding skills both written and verbal. Experience of working as part of a team and on own initiative. Flexibility to be able to work across the range of multi sections within the Health Records Department. Knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy and physiology. Knowledge and understanding of statistical information. It would be great if you also have Educated towards/operating at degree level and/or professional qualification IHRIM (Diploma in Health Records and Information Management)/or specialist knowledge of Health Records gained through relevant experience. Previous supervisory experience. Experience of working as part of a team and on own initiative. Contract type Permanent, Full time, 37 hours. Please note this is a part time post and the salary for this position will be pro‑rata. Location and Working Pattern This role will be based in OPD / ED Reception / MAU1 within University Hospital Wishaw. Working pattern: Monday to Friday 09:00 – 17:00.
