Barclays, Glasgow, Scotland, United Kingdom Business Applications Technology Sourcing Manager – responsible for optimising Barclays’ 3rd‑party spend, defining and implementing sourcing strategies for relevant categories, and collaborating closely with business stakeholders to deliver strategic procurement and channel optimisation. Key Responsibilities Profile spend in category area and develop an understanding of business strategy, requirements, cost levers and opportunities. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify sourcing needs, develop request for proposal documents, and ensure that sourcing activities align with the bank’s priorities. Plan and execute sourcing events including RFP/RFX, negotiations, and other activities to achieve value, speed, compliance and risk objectives. Monitor and guide controls and compliance requirements throughout the category and sourcing cycle, including regulatory engagement, audits and data quality assurance. Develop, implement and operate policies and procedures for sourcing activities aligned with relevant compliance and regulation. Identify and deliver change opportunities to improve sourcing process effectiveness, control and efficiency, including buying‑channel optimisation for relevant spend categories. Identify industry trends and conduct market research, attending conferences and participating in training to stay current on sourcing techniques and tools. Required Experience & Skills Strong procurement experience and business acumen. Stakeholder management and negotiation skills. Experience with category definition, request for proposals, and sourcing event execution. Knowledge of controls, compliance, regulatory engagement and audit processes. Project management experience. Technology procurement knowledge. CIPS certification (preferred). Experience managing risk, developing policies and procedures, and improving sourcing effectiveness. Additional Highly Valued Skills Project management. Technology procurement expertise. CIPS certification. Location The role can be based out of Knutsford, Glasgow or Manchester.
