Role OverviewReporting to the Workshop Manager, the main purpose of the role is to service and repair a wide range of plant equipment and vehicles in accordance with Company and Manufacturer Service Schedules. As a Mobile Plant Technician, you will maintain and support our fleet of plant equipment, respond to breakdowns, and carry out preventative maintenance as required.LocationCannock, West MidlandsResponsibilitiesCarry out scheduled Service Inspections, servicing and repairs in compliance with manufacturer specifications.Conduct regular servicing on machinery, plant and equipment as assigned to you.Diagnose and repair complex faults in machinery, plant and equipment.Conduct repairs to machinery, plant and equipment, and their components.Contribute to the maintenance of a safe and efficient workshop and environment.Record information digitally, including photographs on Syrinx App.Carry out all tasks in compliance with the Company’s Environmental and Health and Safety Procedures.QualificationsKnowledge that would be acquired through education to NVQ3 or equivalent.CSCS certification.Preferably experience in a similar role.Full UK driving licence (essential).Commitment to carry out in‑house Murphy training requirements.BenefitsCompetitive salary.39‑hour standard working week.Time and a half after 39 hours.Healthcare Cash Plan.30 days holiday.Opportunities for advancement and career growth.Further training provided.Health and safety‑focused work environment.Supportive team culture.About MurphyMurphy is a leading international engineering and construction company specialising in infrastructure, transportation, and energy.
