GovernanceDevelopand maintain an effective clinical governance framework that supports safe andhigh-quality care.Facilitate regular clinical governance meetings todiscuss performance, incidents, and quality improvement initiatives.Ensurethat clinical pathways and practices are aligned with best practice guidelinesand evidence-based standards.Leadinitiatives to enhance patient safety across all services, promoting a cultureof transparency and reporting.Implementand maintain the Patient Safety Incident Response Framework (PSIRF), ensuringthat learning from incidents is captured and shared.Monitorand report on patient safety metrics, identifying areas for improvement andensuring appropriate action plans are developed.Identify,assess, and manage clinical risks within the organisation, ensuring effectiverisk mitigation strategies are in place.Conductregular reviews of incident reports and risk assessments to inform organisationallearning and development.Overseethe management of serious incidents, ensuring thorough investigations andappropriate follow-up actions are completed.QualityImprovementDevelopand implement quality improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing patientoutcomes and experiences.Leadquality impact assessments for new initiatives or changes in practice,evaluating potential risks and benefits and manage the organisationalgovernance in relation to these.Collaboratewith multidisciplinary teams to promote a culture of continuous qualityimprovement.RegulatoryComplianceEnsurecompliance with relevant legislation, standards, and guidelines, including CQCregulations and national safety frameworks.Maintaina up-to-date understanding of regulatory changes and ensure organisationalpolicies and practices reflect these updates.Coordinateand draft the annual organisation quality account.ClinicalAuditDesignand implement a comprehensive clinical audit program that evaluates the qualityof care and compliance with clinical standards.Analyseaudit findings to identify trends and areas for improvement, facilitating thedevelopment of action plans.Overseethe incident management process, ensuring that incidents are reported,investigated, and learned from effectively.Developstrategies to communicate learning from incidents across the organisation topromote a culture of safety.ProfessionalStandardsPromote adherence to professionalstandards and best practices among clinical staff, ensuring high levels of accountability and professionalism.Monitor compliance with organisationalpolicies and procedures, implementing corrective actions as needed.Policiesand ProceduresDevelop, review, and updateclinical policies and procedures to ensure they align with current bestpractices and regulatory requirements.Ensure all staff are trained andknowledgeable about relevant policies and procedures.MedicalRecordsEnsure that medical records aremaintained accurately and confidentially, supporting patient safety and carecontinuity.Line manage the lead pharmacistand wider pharmacy teamOversee medicines managementprocesses, ensuring compliance with best practices and safe medicationadministration.Complaintsand Patient ExperienceManage the complaints process,ensuring that concerns are addressed promptly and appropriately, and lessonslearned are disseminated.Work to enhance patientexperience through feedback mechanisms, ensuring that patient voices are heardand acted upon.GeneralUndertake other or additionalduties that are within your skills and abilities, as the
