Job Overview An exciting opportunity is available to join the Patient Access & Booking Centre at Glan Clwyd and Abergele Hospital on a permanent basis. The role is based in a busy call centre environment and the successful applicant will be part of a team of experienced staff responsible for managing a waiting list and booking patients. Excellent communication skills, multitasking and the ability to remain calm under pressure are essential. The ability to speak Welsh is essential for this post. Main Duties of the Job Working in a highly pressurised booking centre within a busy call centre environment, the role provides an accurate and prompt administrative function to facilitate the delivery of a professional, efficient and effective centralised booking service for a variety of outpatient clinics. The successful candidate will use their own initiative in complex situations to ensure patients are booked in line with local and national access targets, and will work as part of a multi‑disciplinary team to support the delivery of access targets and a patient‑focused booking service. Duties & Responsibilities Provide "first point of access" administration for all referrals in the Booking Centre. Act as first of contact for all enquiries and referrals into the Trust. Use local patient administration systems to manage all referrals, waiting lists and appointments for all patients in a timely manner.
