Marches Biogas is based in Ludlow, Shropshire. We are the UK’s leading provider of anaerobic digestion solutions for agriculture and waste management industries, with more than 30 years of experience. We offer AD consultancy services including DSEAR assessments, site surveys, process and equipment selection reviews, design and implementation of plant upgrades, and major AD plant upgrades for clients, including direct work with water utilities. We also deliver mechanical, biological and operational support for many AD plants within the UK. Job Summary As a Project Manager within the design and delivery team, you will coordinate plant expansions, upgrades and new-build schemes, from cradle to grave. You will handle proposal development, construction programme drafting, budget setting, client liaison, solution identification, detailed design, construction, commissioning, handover and closedown. Key Responsibilities Manage projects through the whole life cycle, identifying required team resources and ensuring completion of key deliverables. Engage with key equipment suppliers and M&E contractors, ensuring procurement aligns with project budgets. Monitor and report on cost, programme, and commercial and contractual elements to directors and client. Deliver the project on time and to budget, overseeing design, procurement, installation and commissioning phases. Review client handed‑over information, agree plans to resolve any shortfalls, and secure orders for equipment purchases and subcontractor placements. Obtain necessary approvals for project phases in line with standard procedures. Optimise whole‑life costs, meeting defined scopes and complying with best practice, organisational policies and H&S legislation. Develop technical scopes sufficiently, liaise with Construction Coordinator to ensure constructability. Ensure all contract notices and applications comply with agreed contract conditions. Manage, mitigate, and disseminate project risk and manage 3rd‑party issues and interfaces.
