Are you ready to make a real impact in a fast-paced, high-energy environment? InPost/Menzies Distribution is looking for a motivated and experienced Warehouse Supervisor to join our Parcel Sortation depot in Stockton-on-Tees. As a key leader in the warehouse, you'll oversee the daily operations and mechanical sortation processes, ensuring everything runs efficiently and smoothly. Reporting to the Operations Manager, you'll play a crucial role in driving operational excellence and leading a dedicated team to achieve outstanding results.

What You'll Be Doing:

  1. Lead the charge: Support the Operations Manager in overseeing and optimizing the operations in the warehouse.
  2. Boost productivity: Develop and implement strategies that improve performance, reduce costs, and maximize operational efficiency.
  3. Drive performance: Track, monitor, and analyze KPIs, making data-driven decisions to drive success and continuous improvement.
  4. Flow management pro: Work alongside the Operations Manager to ensure timely, accurate sorting, processing, and dispatching of parcels.
  5. Empower your team: Provide training, mentorship, and ongoing support to your warehouse team, ensuring a high-performance culture.
  6. Collaborate across teams: Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth operations and effective communication throughout the business.
  7. Maintain consistency: Ensure Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) are implemented and followed for consistent, efficient operations.
  8. Drive innovation: Champion continuous improvement using Six Sigma methodologies and other tools to identify and implement process enhancements.
  9. Safety first: Ensure all health and safety regulations are adhered to, creating a safe and secure working environment for all staff.

What We're Looking For:

  1. Proven experience in a supervisory role, ideally within a parcel sortation warehouse, with strong knowledge of automated sortation systems.
  2. MUST be process driven, fully understanding work flow process, with a busy warehouse environment.
  3. Expertise in flow management techniques to maintain efficient operations.
  4. Six Sigma certification or relevant experience in continuous improvement is a definite advantage.
  5. Strong leadership and people management skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team to succeed.
  6. Excellent communication and collaboration skills, working seamlessly with cross-functional teams.
  7. Proficient in warehouse management systems and other relevant tech tools that support operational efficiency.
  8. The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment while ensuring deadlines are met without compromising quality.
