We are an integral part of WSP’s Earth & Environment discipline, providing leadership and tailored support on project delivery, including PMO, Project Controls, and roles for Project Managers and Project Directors. We work across all stages of the project delivery cycle.We seek an experienced Project Manager with a strong understanding of environmental consultancy, a passion for optimising project delivery, and an inclusive and supportive approach to team development.Your RoleAs part of the Environmental Project Management team, you will be a visible environmental leader for WSP. Reporting to the Environmental Project Management Team Leader, your work will focus on project delivery in a senior project leadership capacity, typically as the designated Project Manager or Project Director. You will lead multi-disciplinary projects for our Earth & Environment business, some led by Environment and some as part of wider multi-disciplinary and engineering project teams. Projects vary widely and include large-scale infrastructure schemes across public and private sectors such as highways, rail, aviation, defence, nuclear, residential and property, energy generation and renewables, and transmission and distribution. We operate across the full project cycle, including planning and construction support.Role SummaryLeadership: For large, complex, high-value multi-disciplinary projects, you will act as the Environmental lead project manager, responsible for programme, commercial and quality aspects, while promoting health and safety and inclusion/diversity.Team Management: Form and manage high-performing project teams, inspiring and energising them to deliver exemplary work.Environmental Principles and Expertise: Deliver environmental principles on projects including regulatory compliance, mitigation of environmental impact, stakeholder engagement, sustainability, baseline data management, survey planning and interface with enabling works. A robust working knowledge of key environmental disciplines and consultancy services is essential.Project Governance: Actively manage project change and risks, ensuring governance is adhered to and projects are delivered compliant and optimised.What We Will Be Looking For You To DemonstrateExperience as an environmental consultant with knowledge of environmental impact assessments, sustainability, regulatory compliance, baseline data management, survey planning, and interface with construction or enabling works.Proven track record of managing multi-disciplinary environmental projects with a focus on client satisfaction and high-quality outcomes.Experience leading project teams, fostering collaboration and successful delivery within set parameters.Strong commercial and contractual management skills, with experience in Professional Services Contracts such as NEC3/4.Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities, able to articulate key points clearly to diverse audiences.What’s In It For YouWork-life balance is a priority.
