Spire St Anthony Hospital is looking for a Bank Hand Therapist to join our dynamic and forward-thinking Physio team on a flexible working basis, covering sickness, annual leave and busy periods.
Founded in 1904, Spire St Anthony's Hospital delivers care through skilled and dedicated staff working together. With a completed £27m development investment, we provide very high quality healthcare to patients around Sutton, Epsom, Surrey and South London. We have six operating theatres covering a wide range of specialities and procedures.
Duties and responsibilities:
* To provide a high standard of specialist hand therapy assessment, diagnosis, treatment and advice to patients within the physiotherapy department
* Potential for development of Advanced Practice role supported by specialist hand and wrist consultant
* Management of conditions such as Trapeziectomy, Fasciotomy, Tendon repairs, joint replacements
* Provision of holistic hand therapy care including wound management and provision of custom made splints for hand and wrist pathologies
* Discuss, agree and explain responsibilities for the therapy assessment of patients, including their needs and any associated risks
* Using clinical reasoning skills develop treatment plans that are appropriate to the patient taking into consideration their physiotherapy care, risks and wellbeing.
Who we're looking for:
* Degree (BSc Hons in Physiotherapy) or equivalent
* HCPC registered
* Previous experience is essential in specialist hand therapy role
* Experience of assessing, diagnosing and treating specialist hand cases
