Your typical duties could include:Preparing year-end accounts for companies, partnerships, and sole tradersSupporting and undertaking management accounts workTaking a key role in audits, ensuring high standards throughout the assignmentPreparing corporation tax computations and returns for smaller clientsHandling VAT returns and client queriesPreparing personal tax returnsManaging your own client portfolio and maintaining strong communicationDrafting audit planning memorandums and applying appropriate audit testingSupervising and supporting junior team members as neededEnsuring work is completed on time, within budget, and in line with firm proceduresAbout YouPart-qualified ACA or ACCA (or working towards it)At least 2 years’ experience in an audit/accounts role within practiceExcellent attention to detail and time managementA solid understanding of accounts preparation and audit principlesExperience with software such as Excel, Xero, QuickBooks, Sage or Caseware (desirable)Great interpersonal and communication skillsA proactive and team-oriented attitudeAbout the FirmThis successful independent firm is known for its friendly and down-to-earth culture, modern approach to accounting, and strong investment in staff development.
