Join to apply for the System Control Manager role at Next. We are looking for a skilled System Control Manager to lead a team of System Controllers in our DVP warehouse in Rotherham. You will work alongside Maintenance Engineers and Site Maintenance Managers to ensure smooth operation and material flow through the Warehouse. Shift Pattern Monday – Friday 13:30–22:00 Responsibilities Set performance standards for System Controllers to optimise material flow through the warehouse. Ensure the team follows working procedures and adheres to all H&S policies at all times. Demonstrate a good technical knowledge of the warehouse systems and SCADA, using information to determine appropriate actions and solutions, escalating where appropriate. Ensure all systems and hardware within the Control Room are functioning correctly. Ensure a clear communication pathway between systems and maintenance engineers, escalating any issues to the Site Maintenance Manager as appropriate. Liaise with the Site Maintenance Manager regarding equipment faults that cannot be fixed via normal procedures, ensuring rapid resolution. Line‑manage System Controllers, including training, development and performance management. Produce relevant reports on system control data for the wider maintenance and warehouse management teams. Work with other System Control Managers across the Next Warehouse network to share best practice and drive continuous improvement. Qualifications Supervisory or management experience in a control‑room environment. Proficiency with SCADA systems and a strong technical understanding of warehouse automation. Excellent problem‑solving, decision‑making and prioritisation skills. Strong communication and team‑working abilities. Proven ability to manage, train and motivate a team.
