Residential Support Worker at Compass Community Compass Community is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Residential Support Worker to join our team in a children’s home that positively impacts children's lives. This role is ideal for those with experience in residential or youth work, or for individuals looking to build a career in residential care. Responsibilities Facilitate children’s activities and appointments, providing support in all aspects of their lives. Ensure the health and wellbeing of children, safeguarding them at all times. Support the wider team with domestic tasks such as cleaning, cooking, and food shopping. Create timetables, manage paperwork, and write reports. Qualifications Minimum age of 22 years to meet Ofsted regulations. Valid manual driving licence. Capacity to remain calm in challenging situations and to build positive relationships with others. Previous residential or youth work experience is not essential; we provide extensive induction training. Training & Development Our Skills to Care induction includes 2 weeks of classroom-based training and 1 week of shadow shifts to prepare you for the role. Benefits £50 per sleep‑in. 224 hours holiday (increasing to 248 hours after 4 years). Additional 3.5 days of leave: 1 birthday, 1 health & wellbeing, 1 volunteer, half a day for festive celebrations. Service awards: £200 after 2 years, £400 after 5 years, £600 after 10 years; plus up to £500 special recognition award for outstanding practice. Cash back for medical and wellbeing appointments via MediCash. Potential to win up to £150 in monthly REACH Awards. Company pension scheme. Employment Details Type: Part‑time (entry level).
