Job Description We are seeking a proactive Procurement professional to support the Sustainable Supply Chain Manager in driving change across Heathrow’s supply chain, championing the People and Planet Strategy. This role will play a key part in post-contract management and annual sustainability reporting, working closely with strategic suppliers and internal teams to ensure alignment with Heathrow’s sustainability objectives. You will be instrumental in developing supplier performance roadmaps, sharing best practices, assuring data quality, and educating both procurement colleagues and partners on sustainable supply chain principles. This is a unique opportunity to foster continuous improvement and make a tangible impact on Heathrow’s sustainable business ambitions. Your role will involve Engaging proactively with Heathrow’s key supply chain partners to support their commitment to the Heathrow Connecting People and Planet climate initiative. Ensuring strategic suppliers comply with the Heathrow Supply Chain Balanced Scorecard, focusing on carbon footprinting, energy and water reduction, fossil fuel transition, and enhanced supplier community engagement. Developing, implementing, and refining reporting methodologies and sustainability assessment tools in collaboration with business units and stakeholders. Advising and constructively challenging procurement and business strategies to integrate sustainability insights and align with Heathrow’s sustainable business goals. Promoting sustainability awareness within the procurement team and wider business, sharing best practices and representing Heathrow externally to highlight the impact of People and Planet initiatives. These Skills Are Essential Demonstrable understanding of the supply chain/procurement process gained through working in a similar role. Evidence of having worked within sustainability programmes for major client organisations. Experience in an operational environment alongside demonstrable knowledge of the business change process. Adept at working on programmes leading business inclusivity. Experience of engagement projects across multiple businesses and stakeholders. Previously worked in an integrated team involving supplier business partnering across finance, sustainability, IT and infrastructure. Working Location Our Hybrid working approach offers the opportunity for colleagues in some roles to work from home for an average of two days a week, providing the flexibility to work in an agile way whilst ensuring we deliver for the operational needs of Heathrow. Working arrangements vary from team to team and will be confirmed during the recruitment process. You’ll need to be based in the UK and within a commutable distance to Heathrow.
