Paediatric Staff Nurse

Are you a paediatric trained nurse with acute nursing experience? We are looking for nurses who are pursuing a new challenge. The Emergency Department is exceptionally busy and currently has approximately 400 attendances a day. An understanding of the importance of maintaining patient flows through the hospital is pivotal to this role. Are you ready to embrace the new ways of working within our innovative department including the purpose built rapid assessment area and working partnerships between acute physicians and emergency consultants. Applicants are expected to work towards Level 1 competencies and progress to level 2. The trust is committed to personal and professional development; the successful applicant will receive support and training to deliver the care requirements of the speciality and, enable them to achieve their full potential and become an integral member of the multi professional team. Applicants must have Paediatric specific qualification. Main duties of the job To provide high quality nursing care and participate in the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of the care needs for the patient group. To deliver compassionate person‑centred care, and treat patients, service users, their families and their carers with consideration, dignity and the respect you would want for yourself or your family. To provide relevant forms of care with minimal supervision and participate in the supervision and teaching and assessment of unregistered or junior staff and students. To play an active part in the continuing development of the ward or department and contribute to the maintenance of an environment conducive to the delivery of high standards of patient care, by promoting good communication and relationships between staff, patients, relatives and visitors.
