Our client teams are focused on tackling the most challenging aspects of applied AI in the enterprise sector directly with clients.About The RoleApplied AI solution engineers are expected to work in small teams of Tomoro and client engineers to design, build and deploy AI applications, such as agents built around Large Language Models. As your experience and expertise in the role grows, this may extend to leading these teams, owning solutions end-to-end and advising clients in this space. The typical applications we build use existing closed or open-source foundational models, potentially with some fine tuning. We generally do not need to train our own foundational models from scratch.ResponsibilitiesVisionary Leadership in Solution Development: set the vision for cutting-edge AI solutions and products. Own the delivery process from idea generation to deployment, ensuring alignment with clients\' strategic objectives.Advanced Analytical Problem-Solving: break down complex challenges into manageable plans and make critical decisions.Expertise in AI Application Development: design, develop, test, and deploy data and AI applications at an enterprise scale; provide technical leadership.Hands-on Development and Team Oversight: be hands-on with coding while providing technical leadership and delivery oversight to teams of engineers.Code Review and Mentorship: coach teams, foster learning, provide feedback, and develop AI talent within Tomoro.Technical Stewardship across a Portfolio of Projects: work across multiple accounts or projects with strong leadership.Contribution to Tomoro R&D product & asset development: contribute reusable assets to core code repositories.Senior Client Communication: explain AI approaches, demonstrate solutions, and build relationships with senior clients.Qualifications and Experience5+ years of experience in developing software solutions for enterprise.Strong experience leading design and development of production-grade enterprise solutions, including:Python applications and data processingBuilding microservicesLarge-scale stateful distributed systemsLarge language modelsStrategic thinker and team leader with experience balancing hands-on engineering and ownership of outcomes from inception to completion.Excellent communication skills for senior business and technical audiences.Coach, mentor and educator with a commitment to knowledge sharing across Tomoro and client organisations.Ability to oversee multiple projects in a portfolio and manage time effectively.Innovator and thought leader, up-to-date with latest AI developments and applying them to real-world problems.BenefitsPackageSalary range of £90,000 - £135,000 + EMIs*Opportunity to join our Enterprise Management Incentive Scheme (share options)Holiday entitlement of 25 days + bank holidaysAviva Private medical insuranceMedicash wellness cash planLife PolicyEmployee Assistance Programme (24/7 counsellors)Company pensionAccess to exclusive discount platformCareer CoachLocationHybrid working policy.
