An exciting opportunity has opened for a Senior Fire Engineer to join one of the UK’s most forward-thinking and well-resourced consultancies, based in London. This industry-leading firm is widely respected for combining technical excellence with a pragmatic, creative approach to fire safety design.As a Senior Fire Engineer, you will take the lead on developing and delivering fire strategies for landmark projects across the commercial, heritage, residential, transport, and mixed-use sectors. The successful Senior Fire Engineer will apply expert knowledge of UK fire legislation to solve complex design challenges, working in partnership with leading architects, project managers, and multidisciplinary consultants.The consultancy is proud of its collaborative culture, commitment to quality, and genuine flexibility – offering autonomy in how projects are managed and reported, alongside true support for continued professional development and chartership.The Senior Fire Engineer’s Role:Lead the development of fire strategy reports from concept through to handoverProvide technically robust and innovative solutions aligned with current UK legislation (ADB, BS 9999, BS 9991, and Building Safety Act)Oversee performance-based design, fire engineering calculations, and design appraisalsLiaise directly with clients, design teams, and approving authoritiesGuide junior engineers, contributing to team growth and project successParticipate in fee proposals, client briefings, and site inspectionsThe Senior Fire Engineer:Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Fire Engineer within a consultancy in the UKDegree qualified in Fire Engineering (or related discipline)Working knowledge of UK codes and guidance, including CFD tools (e.g. PyroSim, Pathfinder – advantageous)Able to communicate complex principles clearly and pragmaticallyChartered or working towards chartership with IFE or equivalent (preferred)Passionate about quality, collaboration, and achieving creative, risk-informed solutionsIn Return?£55,000 – £70,000 base salaryGenerous bonus schemeHybrid working + flexible schedulingFull support for chartership and paid professional membershipsPrivate healthcare, EAP and wellbeing incentives33 days annual leave (including bank holidays)9-day fortnight (every other Friday off – currently in pilot stage)A supportive, people-first team within a genuinely exciting consultancyIf you are a Fire Engineer or other fire safety professional and considering your career opportunities, then contact Stuart Miller at Brandon James. #J-18808-Ljbffr
