This role provides an opportunity to develop technical knowledge, clinical and leadership skills in an acute hospital setting. The team is friendly and supportive. Experience and knowledge of Aseptic Services is required, but in‑house and externally recognised training will be provided. You will be supported by experienced pharmacy team members and can progress to a Band 8a position. A postgraduate course in Pharmaceutical Technology and Quality Assurance (PTQA) is available. A generous relocation allowance of up to £8,000 can be offered, subject to terms. Main duties of the job Lead daily operations: manage day‑to‑day delivery of aseptic dispensing, ensuring efficiency and safety. Optimize aseptic services: organise and manage services to meet product intent and timely delivery. Ensure compliance: collaborate with the Aseptic Services Accountable Pharmacist to meet Section 10 Exemption and QAAP standards. Train and develop staff: implement and oversee training programmes in aseptic preparation. Drive innovation and improvement: lead projects within the service. Advance and lead: upon achieving key objectives and promotion to Band 8a, line‑manage an assigned Band 6 Pharmacist. Pharmacist registered in the UK. Essential Vocational Pharmacy Master’s Degree (4 years) + 1 year pre‑registration training. Postgraduate qualification in clinical pharmacy at diploma level or similar. MSc in Pharmaceutical Technology and Quality Assurance (PTQA) or equivalent. Demonstrated ongoing CPD relevant to the role. Knowledge of Aseptic Services (SACTs/CIVAs/PN services) and related pharmacological therapies. Desirable Additional knowledge of SACTs/CIVAs/PN services and related therapies. PTQA experience. Proven record of recognising opportunities to improve a service area.
