Roadside Recovery Driver The AA is based in Newcastle, England, United Kingdom. Push for Better. Join The AA. As our Roadside Recovery Driver, you’ll go the extra mile for our customers. Compensation & Experience On Target Earnings: £41,000 for a CE licence, and £35,000 for a C licence Guaranteed minimum c. £33,862 for CE (HGV 1) licence, £30,490 for C (HGV 2) licence Shifts: Rolling rota, 18 out of 28 days with 2 weekends off. Standard shift 9 h 45 m (inc. 45 m break). Flexibility to work up to 12 h (inc. break) may be required. Uniform, boots and equipment provided. Free breakdown cover from day one. 23 days holiday (increases with service), 7% pension contribution. Industry‑leading training and development. Self‑starter: Work independently or as part of a team, drive to different locations in all weathers. Problem solver: Thrive in all situations, use expertise to solve a variety of issues. Requirements Residence within 25 miles or 1 hour travel from the depot (postcode in advert). Full driving category C Licence (HGV 2). CE (HGV 1) desirable but not essential. Driver CPC qualification and digital drivers/tachograph card. Comfortable adapting to new technology – training provided. Willingness to work shifts, including evenings, nights, weekends, and Bank Holidays.
