Head of MFL

The school are looking to secure an inspirational and dynamic Head of Spanish to lead the teaching and learning of languages across all key stages. The successful candidate will be an outstanding classroom practitioner, an effective leader, and a passionate advocate for Spanish language and culture. They will play a pivotal role in shaping the vision, curriculum, and academic success of Modern Foreign Languages department.

Leadership and Management

Provide strategic direction for the teaching of Spanish across the school.
Lead, support, and develop members of the Spanish teaching team.
Oversee curriculum planning, assessment, and progression in Spanish.
Ensure the highest standards of teaching, learning, and student achievement.
Manage departmental resources, including budgets and teaching materials.
Organise and promote Spanish-related events, trips, and cultural activities.
Monitor and evaluate the quality of teaching and learning, implementing improvements where necessary.Experience needed

Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
Ability to motivate and inspire both staff and students.
Commitment to inclusive education and the wellbeing of all learners.
