Vaulting and Clearing Specialist About the job The Vaulting and Clearing function forms part of the Metals Department within Global Markets. The function is responsible for all aspects of the Bank's vaulting and clearing activities for precious metals, and also assumes a governance role over the Bank's Metal Business regarding the storage and transportation of physical metals, including management oversight of controls and logistics across both Precious and Base Metals. The Metals business offers cash, derivative and financing products in both physical and paper form, direct access for clients to LME and clearing, precious metals clearing and vaulting services. The function will provide support to the Head of Commodities and the Metals business as a whole, both in logistics area and in driving business changes through the bank. What you'll be doing The role requires an understanding of our clearing and vaulting operations, in order to support planning, development and execution of key Metals related initiatives, liaising both with external parties and internal stakeholders. You'll be responsible for : Delivery and Execution Supporting the Head and Deputy Head of Vaulting and Clearing and along side the Metals business (the Business) for the Bank covering all aspects of logistics and Front Office Controls Provide support and co-ordination with global Metals Desk's and regional product heads including Singapore and New York Develop MI and perform analysis related to our Clearing & Vaulting operations, including metrics feeding into operational resilience controls Be a point contact for Metals for logistics and issues globally and develop new processes and procedures where relevant Assist with management of physical loss insurance cover for metals products Work with Sales to support new clients and opportunities Encourage and uphold the highest quality Client Service through all client touch points Escalate client complaints / concerns immediately through appropriate channels Ensure appropriate controls are in place to respect and maintain bank and client confidentiality Provide oversight and monitoring of Front Office Controls across Metals business Conduct & Culture Maintain an awareness of and comply with all Anti Bribery and Corruption laws, regulations, policies and procedures relevant to ICBC Standard Bank and be cognisant of the key ABC risks including 3rd parties and inducements Maintain an awareness of and comply with all Anti Money Laundering laws, regulations, policies and procedures relevant to ICBC Standard Bank Uphold the Values of the firm Ensure the Business adheres to ICBCS standards, business principles, best practise and policies Escalate all significant Regulatory / Compliance issues and concerns immediately through appropriate channels Ensure compliance with regulatory conduct rules under the Senior Manager and Certified Person Regime Ensure all mandatory training is completed Operate within the terms of the SLAs with Standard Bank Group Ensure appropriate controls are in place to limit access to MNPI to authorised individuals What you'll need to be successful We're looking for the following skills and experience. Experience of working in a regulated environment, ideally Financial Services Knowledge of the Metals business, both Physical, Vaulting and Unallocated Loco London Clearing Exposure to inventory systems and able to demonstrate a control based mindset Understanding of Precious Metal s logistics processes and import / export logic Demonstrate s experience in managing financial risks and in establishing internal control environments to manage dealing rooms Demonstrated experience in identifying opportunities, and in successfully building and executing new business Exposure to inventory systems and control Understanding of shipping processes and import / export logic Strong interpersonal skills in order to ensure effective communication with internal stakeholders and clients Why should you join us?
