CNC Machinist - Double Days A recognised high volume manufacturer are currently looking to strengthen their Engineering department with the appointment of a CNC Machinist. Working from their manufacturing facility in Shropshire, the CNC Machinist will be responsible for: Online programming and operating of CNC machinery Selection of tooling and set up of cutter and holders Selection and set up of work‑piece holding devices – fixtures, vices and clamping systems Interpret engineering drawings to determine machining requirements Monitoring of machine performance, making adjustments to program data (speeds, feeds, etc) In-process and post-process inspection using both visual and precision measuring tool methods Operation of Heidenhain and Fanuc CNC control systems Create components within specification to engineering drawings Work with the programming team to feedback information for machining programme efficiency improvements Support in all aspects of fixture assembly cell manufacturing Qualifications The successful candidate should have a minimum of an apprenticeship and three‑axis CNC experience.
