We’re looking for Broadcast Graphics Industrial Placement 2026 to help us make a difference to our planet. As our Broadcast Graphics Industrial Placement 2026, the job may be suitable for hybrid working, which is where an employee works part of the week in the office and part of the week from home. This is a voluntary, non-contractual arrangement and the location advertised will be your contractual place of work. As an Industrial Placement, we would expect you to attend the office once a week as a minimum. Our opportunity is full time, 37 hours per week. You’ll be working on projects that really matter and will make a difference. This role is within our Broadcast Graphics DevOps team. We develop, configure and support the broadcast graphics software used by the Met Office and our media customers – including ITV, STV, and Channel 5. You will probably have already seen it in action on TV weather broadcasts and you will be a key member of this team. Our software is an exciting, high-profile product and the results of your work will be used widely, helping to make an important, positive difference to real people. As our IT Broadcast Graphics - Industrial Placement, your key responsibilities will be: Developing applications to support the broadcast graphics software Supporting internal and external customers to troubleshoot problems with the broadcast graphics software Keeping documentation up to date Testing the integrity of the broadcast graphics software and supporting applications Exploring new capabilities We are a DevOps team, so you will get experience in both software development and support work. The placement would be geared more towards a software development role, but there will be plenty of opportunity to get involved in the customer support side of things too. Essential Criteria, skills and experience: Studying for an undergraduate degree with a significant numeracy, science and/or IT element. Possess knowledge of at least one programming language, ideally Python. Keen interest in IT and keeps up to date with current and future IT developments (we keep evolving). Effective analytical and problem-solving skills. Can plan and organise work using your own initiative (we live and breathe it).
