The Cyber Development Underwriter will play a key role in supporting Markel’s Cyber growth strategy by underwriting complex SME cyber risks and developing strong broker relationships across the UK.Based in Manchester, this role sits within our dedicated Cyber team and focuses on broker engagement, pipeline development, and trading performance. With the SME Cyber market presenting a £300M+ GWP opportunity growing at 15% annually, we’ve launched a dedicated Cyber centre of excellence in Manchester. This team supports our ambitious goal of growing our Cyber book from under £1M to £35M GWP by 2030.You’re a driven underwriter with strong commercial instincts and the ability to build meaningful broker relationships. You’re technically strong in cyber underwriting and enjoy both face-to-face engagement and strategic account development.
