We're looking for a skilled Electrical Sales Engineer to promote and sell cutting‑edge engineered switchboard solutions and products to a growing network of clients. About our client Our client specialises in delivering advanced engineered solutions, with a focus on reliable, state‑of‑the‑art switchboard products and custom switchboard solutions. Their products support an expansive range of industries throughout New Zealand, offering efficiency, safety, and innovation to every project they undertake. Key responsibilities Sales & Promotion: Actively identify new business opportunities and lead the sales process for engineered switchboard solutions, from initial client contact to closing the sale. Client Relationship Management: Develop and maintain long‑lasting relationships with customers by providing expert advice, tailored solutions, and exceptional post‑sale support. Technical Expertise: Provide technical consultations to clients, ensuring they are matched with the right switchboard products and engineered solutions to meet their specific needs. Product Presentations & Proposals: Deliver product presentations, demonstrations, and detailed proposals, highlighting the benefits, efficiency, and reliability of products. Market Insights: Stay informed on industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitors to offer clients the most advanced and cost‑effective solutions. Collaboration: Work closely with the engineering and design teams to ensure product specifications meet client requirements and are delivered on time. What we're looking for Experience: Proven experience in a sales or engineering role, preferably in industrial engineering, electrical, or switchboard product sectors. Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of electrical systems, switchgear, and engineered solutions for switchboards. Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts in a clear and engaging way. Problem Solver: Ability to identify client needs and propose tailored solutions to meet those needs effectively. Self‑Motivated: Driven, proactive, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
