RE Teacher Responsibilities:

Curriculum Delivery: Teach engaging and inclusive RE lessons across Key Stages, ensuring students access a broad and balanced curriculum.

Student Engagement: Inspire curiosity and critical thinking about religion, ethics, and worldviews.

Lesson Planning: Prepare and adapt lessons to meet the needs of diverse learners.

Assessment & Progress: Monitor student progress, provide constructive feedback, and contribute to departmental planning.

Behavioural & Emotional Support: Maintain a positive classroom environment and support students with behavioural or emotional challenges.

Safeguarding: Uphold school safeguarding policies to ensure the safety and wellbeing of all students.

RE Teacher Requirements:

Essential:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.

Experience teaching Religious Education at secondary level.

A strong interest in education and student development.

A clear or obtainable DBS check.

Desirable:

Experience supporting students with SEN or additional needs.

Strong subject knowledge in philosophy, ethics, and world religions.

Ability to contribute to wider school life and extracurricular activities.
