Managing Consultant – Audit & Accounts (Semi Senior / Senior) We are supporting a well-established, independent UK accountancy firm with an exciting opportunity for an Audit & Accounts Semi Senior / Senior to join their Cambridge‑based team. This is a hands‑on role offering exposure to a diverse portfolio of clients, from entrepreneurial SMEs and not‑for‑profits to larger AIM‑listed organisations. With a 70% audit / 30% accounts & tax split, this role offers variety, responsibility, and the chance to develop your technical and client‑facing skills within a supportive and flexible environment. The Audit & Accounts Semi Senior Role Plan and execute audit engagements, leading onsite teams and ensuring compliance with UK GAAP / FRS 102. Prepare financial statements and draft tax computations for a range of clients. Liaise with clients to resolve queries, escalating complex matters to managers or partners. Review and provide feedback on junior team members’ work, coaching and supporting their development. Manage engagement time and budgets, ensuring work is delivered efficiently and to a high standard. About You ACA, ACCA, ICAS or CA qualification (part‑qualified or fully qualified). Practical audit experience in a UK accountancy practice, including planning and leading engagements. Solid understanding of UK GAAP / FRS 102. Strong client‑facing skills and the ability to build trusted relationships. Experience with audit software (e.g., Caseware) and Microsoft Office. A proactive, detail‑oriented approach and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
