Brief Description As a Resource Planner, you will organise and coordinate all required resources, including plant, materials, and road rail vehicles, to support work schedules and maintenance delivery. You will prepare resource schedules for Annual and Quarterly plans, manage engineering train movements, arrange transport logistics, and respond to plan changes or emergency works. Additionally you will handle highways access requests and provide accurate resource forecasts to ensure efficient, well‑planned operations. In order to be successful in this role, we would like you to have Knowledge of resource planning processes and systems Resource coordination and optimisation skills Knowledge of access and possession processes and systems Good interpersonal, communication and organisational skills It would be desirable for you to have Active knowledge of route planning for heavy maintenance machines Knowledge of maintenance delivery processes and techniques How To Apply Salary: starting from £35,582 raising to £42,218 per annum. Network Rail adheres to a structured pay framework, any salary offered will be within the pay range advertised. Closing date: 9th December 2025. Late applications will not be accepted.
