An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and enthusiastic pharmacist to join our friendly and supportive Medicines Information (MI) team within the pharmacy at Mid Yorkshire Teaching Trust as a Specialist Clinical Pharmacist Medicines Information. Responsibilities Provide a high-quality clinical enquiry answering service to healthcare professionals within the Trust and to patients via our established medicines helpline. Work closely with the Medicines Information team to support the efficient delivery of the Trust-wide Medicines Information service, including active involvement in the training and supervision of staff. Act as a key member of the Medicines Optimisation team, delivering a high-quality clinical pharmacy service at ward level. Contribute to the efficient delivery of the Trust-wide Medicines Information Service. Contribute to the development and maintenance of policies and guidelines. Liaise with all grades of medical and nursing staff over relevant aspects of the pharmacy service. Help implement necessary service changes as a consequence of these consultations. Identify, report on and respond to risk management issues or clinical incidents, referring to peers as necessary. Generate and review reports to assist Advanced Clinical Pharmacists in informing the Trust about medication usage, expenditure, and/or safety issues related to medicines. Participate in audits to demonstrate effectiveness or identify development needs of all systems relating to the use of medicines. Deliver, in collaboration with staff in the Medicines Information department, support for Formulary & Drug Usage Audit initiatives.
