About the Role

A supportive and inclusive Greenwich primary school near Abbey Wood Station is seeking a committed Pastoral Support Worker to join their KS2 team. This role focuses on supporting pupils with emotional, behavioural, and social needs to help them engage positively with learning.

As a Pastoral Support Worker, you will work closely with the SENCo and safeguarding team to deliver targeted one-to-one and small-group support. You will help pupils develop emotional regulation strategies, manage behaviour for learning, and build confidence both inside and outside the classroom.

The Ideal Candidate

The school is keen to appoint a Pastoral Support Worker who:

Has experience supporting SEMH or pastoral needs in a primary setting

Is calm, empathetic, and consistent in approach

Can deliver structured mentoring and emotional check-ins

Understands safeguarding and behaviour support strategies

Works well within a multidisciplinary team
