Job Description Exceptional Care Ltd is seeking a caring, resilient and passionate individual to lead a children’s residential team at Tarleton, Lancashire. The role offers £14.50 per hour plus a £60 sleep‑in allowance and operates on a 2 on / 4 off shift pattern. You will conduct staff supervisions, provide progress updates, and raise concerns related to team or young person dynamics, advising when intervention may be needed. You will act as a Key Worker where necessary, taking primary responsibility for the care and development of a designated young person. Your Responsibilities Lead the shift and ensure high standards of care and conduct at all times. Support care planning, assessments, and contribute to care reviews. Organise and participate in educational, social, and recreational activities, including outings and holidays. Liaise with external professionals and agencies alongside senior management. Ensure accurate and detailed record‑keeping, including delegating written tasks and signing them off as Team Leader. Promote best practices in line with the home’s Statement of Purpose and company policies. Your Skills & Qualifications Required Criteria NVQ Level 3 or 4 Children and Young Peoples Workforce or equivalent Two years’ experience supporting young people in a children’s residential setting Desired Criteria Full UK Manual Driving Licence (preferred) We’re looking for a Level 3 or 4 holder with over two years of experience in a children’s residential setting.
