Job SummaryAs a Belt Fabricator at Techbelt Ltd, you will fabricate, assemble, and inspect components for industrial conveyor systems, ensuring top‑quality production through precise marking, cutting, seaming, and quality checks.ResponsibilitiesFabrication & AssemblyMark cutting lines from specifications and drawings.Cut belt materials with knives, scissors, or power cutters.Use welding equipment on‑site and in‑house.Maintain accurate measurements.Keep work area clean and store tools after shifts.Sealing & FinishingSeal belt edges with hot irons or electric‑sealing machines.Trim excess material.Inspect for defects such as smearing, cuts, and seams.Quality ControlVerify belts meet quality standards and specifications.Sign off each stage of manufacture.Label outer packaging to prevent accidental blade cuts.Packaging & HandlingPrepare clean, folded or rolled belts for shipment.Record number of articles packed and maintain inventory records.Equipment OperationReceive adequate training for machinery operation.Follow machine safety signs and only operate upon completion of training.Maintenance & SafetyMaintain clean, organized workspace and perform routine tool maintenance.Adhere to safety procedures.QualificationsExperiencePrior manufacturing or fabrication experience, especially with plastic or PTFE materials.SkillsProficient with cutting, sealing, and inspection tools.High attention to detail for defect identification.Technical KnowledgeUnderstanding of plastic/PTFE properties, high‑temperature resistance, and non‑stick features.Familiarity with quality control practices.Physical RequirementsAbility to lift and manipulate materials; stand for extended periods; manual dexterity.EducationTechnical or vocational training in manufacturing or related field (preferred).Good communication and teamwork skills.Driving license (preferred, not essential).Experience with a sewing machine (advantageous).Total CompensationAnnual pay review.Complete training provided if needed.Work at our Elland facility.40 hours per week (Mon‑Fri), occasional overtime.Pension plan.23 days holiday + statutory.Seniority LevelEntry level.Employment TypeContract.Job FunctionManufacturing.IndustryManufacturing.LocationElland, England, United Kingdom.EEO StatementTechbelt Ltd is an equal opportunity employer.
