About the role We are seeking a capable and motivated Assistant Coordinator to join our team at YMCA Everleigh Outside School Hours Care on a permanent part time basis. You’ll play a key role in supporting the Coordinator with day-to-day operations, lead programming, and help guide a passionate team in delivering safe, fun, and enriching care for children. You’ll also enjoy: Salary & Compensation - Discounted Private Health Insurance Work Life Balance - Working up to 34.5 hours during the school term, increasing during vacation care Working Environment - Career Coaching and Progression Opportunities What you’ll do Support the daily running of the service Assist with child-led, play-based programming Provide guidance to educators and support staffing needs Maintain compliance and support administration processes Engage positively with children, families, schools and the local community What you’ll bring A Diploma in Children’s Services or related ECEC or Teaching qualification (or studying towards) Demonstrated experience in children’s programming and administration Strong communication and customer service skills A valid Paid Blue Card (or willingness to obtain) Current First Aid & CPR certificate (or willingness to obtain)A commitment to creating a safe and inclusive environment for all children Familiarity with the National Quality Framework About YMCA OSHC The YMCA provides Outside School Hours Care services to 60 school communities across South East Queensland.
