Our client delivers a wide range of roofing and cladding solutions across the UK, including standing seam systems, composite panels, rainscreen cladding, single-ply and hot melt roofing, and SFS structural framing systems.

This role offers an excellent opportunity for an experienced Roofing & Cladding Designer who is looking to take the next step in their career, with genuine potential to progress into a senior role within the business.

Role & Responsibilities

Working on a variety of complex and high-quality building envelope projects, you'll be responsible for:

Producing detailed project-specific working and fabrication drawings.

Reviewing architectural, structural, and steelwork drawings and specifications, raising design queries where required.

Attending design meetings (both on-site and via Teams) as needed.

Liaising directly with clients, architects, and consultants throughout the design process.

Coordinating with system manufacturers and suppliers to ensure compliance with technical requirements.

Providing design support to site teams, including supervisors and installation operatives.

Preparing material schedules and supporting procurement activities.

Conducting site surveys and measurements as required.

About You

To be successful in this role, you should have:

Proven experience as a Designer within the roofing and cladding or wider building envelope industry.

Strong technical understanding of multiple envelope systems (standing seam, rainscreen, composite, single-ply, hot melt, SFS, etc.).

The ability to interpret complex architectural and structural drawings.

Excellent communication and coordination skills, with a proactive approach to design challenges.

Proficiency in CAD or similar design software.
