Programme Facilitator

Overview Are you passionate about rehabilitation? We are looking for a Programme Facilitator in the Probation Service who will deliver Accredited Programmes and Structured Interventions to people under Community Orders or on licence after release from prison. The role involves group work and individual sessions, often in the evening, across a large regional area and may require travel to various locations. The programme aims to reduce re‑offending, protect the public, and help offenders build constructive, pro‑social lives. Responsibilities Plan and deliver interventions in groups or one‑to‑one settings, creating a therapeutic and safe environment. Adhere to statutory safeguarding responsibilities and multi‑agency public protection policies. Manage group dynamics, address problematic behaviour, and adapt to the learning styles and needs of participants. Monitor and recommend suitability, risk, safety and wellbeing throughout the intervention, informing future sentence management. Complete timely, accurate records of attendance, feedback, risk issues and reports to meet quality assurance standards. Communicate progress and concerns to Probation Practitioners, courts and other stakeholders. Deliver workshops and briefings to staff and external parties on intervention content and purpose. Model pro‑social behaviour consistently and challenge anti‑social attitudes. Participate in video‑monitoring feedback sessions to uphold audit standards and inform professional development. Maintain confidentiality and demonstrate commitment to equality and inclusion. Accept reasonable alterations and additional tasks of similar level, with significant adjustments to be discussed under the Job Evaluation Scheme. Things you need to know Security: Successful candidates must undergo a criminal record check and, if working with government assets, complete baseline personnel security standard checks. Nationality requirements: UK nationals, Republic of Ireland nationals, Commonwealth citizens with right to work in the UK, EU/Switzerland/Norway/Iceland/Liechtenstein nationals and their families (settled/pre‑settled status), Turkish nationals and eligible family members, and others with appropriate leaving licences.
