Key responsibilities Lead and secure excellence in teaching, learning, and curriculum provision across the school Collaborate with stakeholders to identify priorities for pupils and the school, placing these at the heart of strategic decision‑making Ensure all pupils, regardless of starting point or need, achieve their potential and feel valued as part of the Bearwood community Be the Designated Safeguarding lead, with support from three deputy safeguarding leads, promoting the welfare and safety of all pupils Support the Headteacher in providing strong, effective leadership aligned with the school’s vision and values Required Qualifications and Experience Proven leadership experience in a primary school setting Strong understanding of curriculum design and effective teaching and learning strategies Experience in safeguarding leadership and commitment to pupil welfare Ability to inspire, motivate, and challenge staff and pupils to achieve high standards Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with colleagues, parents, and the wider community Passionate about inclusion and raising achievement for all pupils Committed to promoting positive behaviour and high attendance Visionary with a strategic approach to school development Empathetic leader who fosters a supportive and respectful school culture Why Bearwood Primary School?
