Software Developer, Verification Position: Software Developer, Verification at hackajob, in partnership with Bet365, located in Stoke‑On‑Trent, England. Job Description You will be a key member of our dedicated Verification team, contributing to an entire re‑architecture of our Business‑critical Verification platform. The role spans the development, enhancement, and support of real‑time facial recognition systems using innovative AI technology, as well as core operational tooling. The team is fully stack and is migrating to a modern stack of Golang, React, and cloud platforms. Core skills required include Kafka, SQL, .Net, Golang, and Typescript. You will work closely with talented developers to deliver high‑quality, low‑latency, highly available, and scalable solutions following agile practices at an enterprise level. This role is eligible for Bet365’s hybrid working from home policy. Qualifications Commercial experience within web clients or server‑side development. Experience working with front‑end and back‑end technology. Knowledge of Kafka, SQL, .Net, Golang, or Typescript; expertise in similar or alternative technologies is welcome. Strong communication skills, able to explain technical matters to non‑technical stakeholders. Experience working in an environment with high volumes of change. Experience with software development methodologies and best practices. Understanding of automation and developer tooling such as continuous build and CI systems. Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a relevant discipline, or relevant professional experience. Additional Information Develop efficient, robust, high‑quality code for scalable enterprise‑level solutions. Support and enhance the existing code base. Maintain clean coding practices. Identify technical areas of improvement. Support Software Product Owners. Support the testing team during testing phases of projects. Contribute to solution proposals. Create work effort estimates as required.
